You are seeing correct. A Chanel flower stand selling the corresponding flora to each Fragrance. A specialized cart set up in covent gardens for Mother’s Day. Can you hardly believe it?! I can’t.

oh chanel resort wear, you are like a treat for the eye. and although many may not wear you, i still appreciate your little twin star-esque glory. in fact, it feels like i’ve been on vacation just looking at you. a delicate mix of japanese touches with some french sensibilities, kind of like marie antoinette meets hello kitty. this is more like museum wear. but we wouldn’t expect anything less from chanel, now would we? xoxo kate
oh little black this, little black that. whatever the medium, Chanel has always got us covered. which is how this book project came to be. first the exhibit came to tokyo and now later in the year will be travelling to London. snapped by Karl Lagerfeld with the assistance of styling by Carine Roitfeld, the same little black jacket is used over and over on celeb, musician, muse, model alike. redefining and reestablishing the classic piece and the many which ways and worlds it can live in.
its the first of a few that me and the talented ed araquel did together. i think you’ll enjoy, i hope you do. channelling my inner tomboy and ghetto glam sports fan meets fashion trends. its a pinch saucy and a lot of fun. that is what dressing is about sometimes…fun. stayed tuned for more variation on this theme….

Channeling my inner pete doherty and well, for lack of a better idea…i wear black. ok, so i’ve never been crazy about nye but regardless, maybe i would do something like this. simple is great, if simple is done right. again you got to mix the glamour with grunge, the feminine with the masculine. ok, a touch emo but really dont you get the winter blues too….
dress: Vintage development by Phillip Lim, boots: Mike & Chris, hat Aritzia, rings Pamela Love, Chanel, Urban Outfitters,
its colder than a witches tit outside, but that doesn’t mean there will be any scrimping or saving when it comes to style. ok ok, i have to admit…it is a lot harder to accomplish in the winter months what with all the woollens and down stuffed such and such. but…some light. theres not much i love more than a good collabo. and this one is a keeper. pair artist Raif Adelberg with street sense Stussy and i heart. function with fashion. well its a problem solver and a fun one at that. they are all one of a kind and there are only a few if you dare….xo kate
you might not know this, but occasionally i make my own clothes. this old thing… is a little something i put together a few weeks back to go to a fashion show. ok, and let me gush…the biggest compliment came when women were asking me where they can buy it!! i have never considered myself a designer, but among a group of fashionable people to be noticed for what i was wearing, was, well, really fuckin cool. ok, i’ll stop… but first i will feature my frock. hand dyed, burned, and shredded in its web of glory.

I’ve been more than lucky recently to have now had the opportunity to work with photographers who guest on my blog. Melissa Gidney has been a friend of mine for some time and i am so fortunate that she wanted to take pictures of me. She is so talented and lovely, it was a real treat. this is the 1st of two shoots we did and hopefully more to come.

gone are the days where one conjures images of jessica simpson in her daisy’s when the word is spoken. not that there’s anything wrong with her. but the game has changed. and if i were truly to pick one major trend for your spring summer season that i adore, it would be shorts. the cuties are everywhere these days and i’m not just talking denim. lace, cotton, wool. Shorts for one and all. equal opportunity shorts, even dress shorts. give it a go. Your gams will thank you, and probably the boy standing next to you too….xoxo lilkate
I truly believe that style does not have to stop anywhere. Can I convince you of this…maybe not. But Chanel can. You may or may not be aware that the product line continues well beyond the iconic bags (so does the price tag). I delved deeper into this line last year when a Chanel guitar was placed in my lap. Since then I’ve had many a sleepless night, tossing and turning, contemplating and justifying(the boomerang might be a better price point for me. see below) and so here I pass the disease on to you. Sweet dreams…
* please note I am not suggesting in any way that riding a segway is physical activity. In my judgement this is Chanels most unfortunate AND most humorous moment.
