Was introduced to Mark Holden through the fine people at Kiss and Makeup and it was such a pleasure. Definitely design with meaning, and a lot of love. Repurposing an iconic symbol from our childhoods, the peace sign takes on some new ideas but the company staying with the meaning. I saw movement in all and that’s what really inspired me, and in some ways is what peace is about, isn’t it. Anyways, check out the product. And keep in mind, a million ways to wear. Just over a month ago I collaborated as the new face of Lloyd & Wolf and man was it rad. A local independent company on the precipice of big big things. Including their nomination by InStyle magazine. So yeah, they’re legit. Love the products, and the people behind. The bags are just stunning, even better, completely wearable. Same story that repeats itself day in and day out if you live in a city like raincouver. Hey, it’s not a diss, it’s still the most beautiful place on earth. Problem is what to wear. I hear functional and my body forebodes it. Is there really a fashion meets function story? The sisters behind Trout rainwear certainly seem to have done it. Yeah ladies, this is rainwear. Design meets downpour = winner. And the technology behind it backs it up. 60/40 cotton and polyurethane blend that repels water and allows for breathing. So actually, ahem, in truth it is an anyday-coat not a raincoat. Cause well it looks great! Notice it’s reversible…yeah. This is just one in the many combinations and am so thrilled to introduce to you what is clearly a great company with a great Canadian mind. Lastly, do I actually wear this kind of outfit in the Forrest? Yes, I do. That’s how it is and now finally I have a sick raincoat to protect me from the elements in all it’s glory.
